AWES Teacher Eligibility: Age Limit

- Fresh Candidates: Below 40 years (except for NCR schools where TGT/PRT should be less than 29 yrs and PGT less than 36 years).
- Experienced Candidates: Below 57 years (Should have minimum 5 years teaching experience in the last 10 years)
AWES Teacher Eligibility: Educational Qualification
According to the norms of APS AWES Teacher Recruitment Exam, candidates must hold a postgraduate degree with minimum 50 % marks for applying to PGT, and graduation degree with minimum of 50% marks for applying to posts like TGT & PRT.

Qualification for PRT Posts
For the post pf PRT, You need to have a graduation degree in B.ed or a 2 year diploma course or B.El.Ed (four year integrated course).

AWES Teacher Selection Procedure 2016
The selection procedure for APS AWES Teacher recruitment 2016 will have 3 levels i.e screening, interview and written examination. All aspiring candidates who are eligible will have to appear for the screening test first. Those who are able to clear the screening will then appear for the interview and the written test.
To qualify for interview and evaluation of teaching skills, the candidates have to pass a Screening Examination.
AWES Selection Procedure Stage 1: Screening Exam
AWES APS exam will be conducted on the Last Sunday of November/First Sunday of December 2016. The online test will have MCQs. Those who qualify in this stage will be given Score Cards which are valid for life provided the candidates pick up teaching job in any CBSE affiliated school within three years from the date of passing the screening exam.
A Score Card will make candidates eligible to appear for the remaining stages of the selection process. In addition to fresh candidates, the following may also appear for the screening test:
- Holders of Score Cards who want to improve their scores.
- Those desirous of upgrading themselves. For E.g. a candidate holding Scorecard of TGT may now want to obtain a card for PGT, having acquired additional qualification.
The Screening exam for PGT/ TGT is divided into two parts and for PRT candidates need to go through only one part. To qualify for further stages of AWES, candidates must score 50% marks in each part.
AWES Selection Procedure Stage II: Interview
The second stage of AWES APS Teacher exam consists of a personality test or Interview. Based on the performance in screening test and also keeping in view the number of vacancies, the candidates will be called for interview. Once they clear the Interview, candidates move forward to the third stage of AWES APS 2016.
AWES Selection Procedure Stage III: Evaluation of Teaching skills
Third stage of AWES selection procedure is Evaluation of Teaching skills and computer proficiency through a Written Test. For Language teachers, written test comprising Essay & Comprehension of 15 marks each will be held along with evaluation of teaching skills. Selection Committee may also hold Computer proficiency tests if they so desire.
