Analysis of Electrical Engineering Subject Weightage of Marks

Now, let’s move to our analysis of Electrical Engineering subject weightage of marks for years 2014 & 2015 including all the sessions and try to analyze the important topics for each.

Name of the Subject 2014 2015
 EE 1  EE 2  EE 3  EE 1  EE 2
Engineering Mathematics  11  11  10  10  11
Network Theory  6  6  8  9  9
Signals and Systems  8  8  10  5  8
Control Systems  8  8  8  11  8
Analog Circuits  6  6  5  5  7
Digital Circuits  5  7  6  7  5
Electromagnetic Theory  3  3  5  4  0
Measurement  6  6  6  4  4
Power Electronics  8  7  6  9  6
Electrical Machines  11  13  13  11  18
Power Systems  13  10  8  10  9
General Aptitude  15  15  15  15  15
 Total   100  100  100  100  100

From the above information, it is clear that Electrical Machines and Power Systems carries a higher weightage of marks. We can see a significant change in the marks distribution of Electromagnetic Theory between the years 2014-2015. Network Theory and Control Systems also carry a lot of weighatge of marks.

Least weightage of marks is seen under the topic Electromagnetic Theory. In this way, you will able to filter out topics from each year and can prepare accordingly. However, we do not advise the candidates to leave any topic. You must strive to cover each and every topic but you should do so with the time constraint in mind.
