SBI PO 30th April Prelims Exam Analysis (Shift 1): The State Bank of India has now commenced the second day of SBI PO Preliminary Examination. Just like yesterday, the SBI PO Prelims Exam will be conducted in multiple shifts. At the end of each slot, OnlineTyari will provide a detailed review and analysis of the written examination.

To give a little preface to new users, the SBI PO Prelims Exam was composed of 3 sections i.e. Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and English Language.

The total time was 1 hour i.e. 60 minutes. Hence, Speed, Accuracy and Planning is surely needed to have good number of attempts with maximum accuracy.

THE OVERALL DIFFICULTY LEVEL OF SBI PO Prelims Exam (Shift-I) was Moderate. Let us dig a bit deeper and understand the construct of the paper section-wise.

SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis for English Language Section

  • Good Attempts: 22-24 Questions
  • Level of Difficulty: Moderate

Just like yesterday, we begin our review of SBI PO Prelims Paper with English. The table below tells about the number of questions from each topic asked in prelims 2017:

As we can see, The English Section in SBI PO Prelims Paper (Shift 1) is broadly divided into 3 sections – Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test and Spotting errors, with 10 questions each. We expect most candidates to do well in this section.

SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis for Reasoning Ability Section

  • Good Attempts: 20-22 Questions
  • Level of Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult

Compared to yesterday, SBI candidates found today’s reasoning section to be more attemptable. The difficulty level was more or less similar.

While questions based on Inequalities, Direction Sense & Blood relation questions were quite easy, questions from Puzzles and Seating Arrangement continue causing a lot of confusion.

SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis for Quantitative Aptitude Section

  • Good Attempts: 21-23 Questions
  • Level of Difficulty: Moderate 

Similar to yesterday, the quant section had a proper mix of moderate to challenging questions. The level of difficulty of Quant Section in SBI PO Prelims (Slot 1) was slightly Moderate.

Questions based on Profit and Loss, Simple Interest, Ages, Partnership and Time and Work were a bit challenging.
