There were 4 sections in SSC CHSL Tier I examination namely General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and English Language.

There was negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. The total time duration of the paper was 75 Minutes.

SSC CHSL Exam Analysis: English Language (Easy level)

Grammar and Vocabulary dominated English Section. In Vocabulary, there were questions from topics like Synonyms/Antonyms, Idioms and Phrases and spellings correction. In Grammar section, there were questions on Sentence Improvement, Spot the Error, Sentence Completion, Active-Passive and Direct and Indirect speech.
