UIIC AO Recruitment 2016: United India Insurance Company Limited (UIIC) has recently published an official notification inviting aspirants to apply for the post of Administrative Officer (Scale 1). UIIC AO Eligibility Criteria
An aspirant must fulfill the basic criteria for moving forward in the application process. The major points in UIIC AO Eligibility Criteria (Scale-I) are as follows.
The candidates’ age should be between 21-30 years as on 31 March 2016. The Age relaxation on the Upper Limit has been set as per government rules, regulations and norms.

- PH: 10 Years
- PH + OBC: 13 Years
- PH + SC/ST: 15 Years
- J&K Domicile: 5 Years
- Ex-Servicemen: Actual period of service rendered in Defense Services + 3 Years
- Widows, Divorced Women Judicially Separated: 9 Years
- Existing Employees of Public Sector General Insurance Companies: 8 Years
The relaxation will only be applicable if the aspirant has the right credentials/ certificates/ documents for the same.
Depending on the post a candidate applies to, the educational qualification will be analysed.
- For Generalist Profile, a candidates must possess atleast a Graduation Degree from a recognized institute or college.
- For Specialist Profile, the minimum educational qualification will depend on the discipline you opt for.

The Selection Process for the post of UIIC AO involves an online examination followed by an interview. The Written Exam will be objective and descriptive.
UIIC AO Selection Criteria
For the recruitment of candidates to both Generalist and Specialist Posts, the process will be completed in the following stages.
Stage 1: Written Test (Objective)
An online written test of objective pattern is conducted for both Generalist and Specialist Profile. There are 5 sections in total and the portion varies for the each.
- For UIIC AO Generalist Post, the questions will be based on Reasoning Ability, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (with special reference to financial sector) and Computer Literacy.
- For UIIC AO Specialist Post, the questions will be based on Reasoning Ability, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (with special reference to financial sector) and Professional Knowledge.
Even though the final section is different for both posts, the total time allotted will remain the same. The total number of questions will be 200 with each question carrying 1 mark and the time allotted to solve objective paper is 2 Hours (120 Minutes).
Stage 2: Written Test (Descriptive)
Although this is essentially the part of Stage 1, it is being differentiated only to that this one will be a descriptive test. Descriptive Questions include Essay Writing and Letter Writing and the total marks for descriptive test is 30.
To qualify in this round, you need to score atleast 15 Marks in you belong to General Category and 13.5 Marks has been set as the official benchmark for SC/ ST Category Candidates. The total time allotted will be 30 Minutes.
Stage 3: Interview
Candidates who make through the written examination are called for the interview round. The final merit list is prepared on the basis of your performance in Written Examination and Interview.
