UPSC Civil Services Exam Official Cutoff 2016 Released: Check Now

The Final Result for UPSC CSE 2016 was announced 2 days ago. As per UPSC Official News, a total number of 1099 candidates (846 men and 253 women) have been selected for various posts while 220 other candidates are on the waiting list. For the sake of all aspirants, Union Public Service Commission has also released UPSC Civil Services Exam Official Cutoff 2016.

UPSC Civil Services Exam Official Cutoff 2016

For IAS Exam 2016, the minimum qualifying standards/ marks secured by the last recommended candidate in various categories at various stages are as follows.

*Cut off marks on the basis of GS Paper-I only. However, GS Paper-II was qualifying with 33% (66.66 marks) (Rule-15 of Civil Services Examination, 2016)

# Subject to 10% marks in each of the seven competitive papers i.e. Essay, GS-I, GS-II, GS-III, GS-IV, Optional-I and Optional-II.

Based on the results of the written part of Civil Services Examination, 2016 held by the Union Public Service Commission in December, 2016 and the interviews for Personality Test held in March-May, 2017, following is the list, in order of merit, of candidates who have been recommended for appointment to:

  1. Indian Administrative Service
  2. Indian Foreign Service
  3. Indian Police Service
  4. Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’

A total number of 1099 candidates have been recommended for appointment as per following break-up:

 SC  163
 ST  89
 Total  1099
