Changes in IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2017
As per the official notification, there are no changes in the preliminary examination. IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam will be qualifying round similar to that of the previous year. The marks will not be counted for the purpose of Final Selection.
But there are some changes made in the IBPS Clerk Mains exam structure. Some highlights of the changes made in the exam pattern are given below:
- The total questions in the exam have been reduced to 190 from 200.
- Unlike IBPS Clerk 2016, The Reasoning Ability & Computer Sections have been clubbed together.
- Some changes are also made in the number of questions & time allotted to each section.

Similar to most mains paper, IBPS Clerk Mains will time each section separately. Each Section will have separate time during which it can be attempted by the candidates.

The total time to solve the written examination is 160 minutes. Owing to a major restructuring in the selection procedure of Bank Clerks, the Final Merit List is prepared on the basis of marks secured in Mains Examination only. Hence, there will be no interview for IBPS Clerk 2017.
