Staff Selection Commission had announced the notification for Multi-Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) posts in different states and union territories on the official portal. The notification was uploaded on the web servers on February 5, 2021. The last date to register for the MTS recruitment was March 21, 2021, and Paper-1 has already been conducted from October 5 to November 2, 2021. The result of Paper-I is likely to be released in December month.

Q 1: What is the minimum educational qualification for the SSC MTS exam?
A: Candidates should have passed the matriculation examination (std. 10th class) in order to become eligible for the Multitasking Staff (MTS) position.
Note: This is just a minimum qualification; the candidates who have completed degrees (UG or PG) are also allowed to apply.
Q 2: What is the age limit for applicants? Is there any relaxation?
A: Candidates should be between 18 and 25 years of age, as of the date mentioned in the notification. Also, the following categories are given the age relaxation:
- OBC: 3 years
- SC/ ST: 5 years
- PwD (Unreserved): 10 years
- PwD (OBC):13 years
- PwD (SC/ST): 15 years
- ESM: 3 years
Note: The date of birth should be exactly the same as recorded in your matriculation/ secondary examination. If there is any mismatch, it will not be accepted by SSC.
Q 3: I am a widow/ divorced woman. Is there any special concession in age?
A: Women who are widows or divorced and have not re-married can apply for this Multitasking Staff (MTS) exam up to the age of 35 years (General), 38 years (OBC), and 40 years (SC/ST).
Q 4: I have only 40% in degree. Am I eligible for SSC MTS recruitment?
A: Yes, if candidates have completed their degree after school matriculation exam, they are eligible to apply; there is no minimum per cent required in the degree (only pass status will suffice).
Also, for applicants from SC/ST/PWD category, a pass in degree is enough. No percentage condition exists for them either.

A: Yes, candidates can choose any exam centre they wish even though their preferences of states are different.
