Once you get acquainted with the exam pattern, you must drag your attention towards previous year’s papers analysis. It is the most important aspect which you need to consider to ease off your preparation and to improve your exam score. Thus, it is imperative to know the pattern of questions and distribution of marks of the topics covered in GATE exam.

Now, let’s shift our focus to the electronics communication subject weightage analysis for the both the sessions of GATE 2016 and also analyze the important topics.

GATE Electronics Communication Subject Weightage Analysis 2016

Since 2005, a lot of changes has been subjected to the GATE exam pattern. Initially the paper carried a total of 150 marks including 90 questions. Later on, the number of questions and marks dropped to 60 and 100 in 2009. From 2010 onwards, the number of questions increased to 65 and the total marks allotted to the paper was 100. This particular pattern is being followed since.

Have a look at our previous articles for an in-depth analysis and better understanding of GATE Electronics Communication paper for the years 2005-2015:

One subject common to all papers of GATE examination is Engineering Mathematics. Engineering maths has significant contribution in terms of distribution of marks every year in all of the papers. So, you must give it equal attention and try to put it at the top of your priority list.gate-electrical-engineering-mathematics-e-book
