1. Attack General Aptitude Section First!
It is easier to score full marks in General Aptitude section. These questions are very easy to answer. Think twice before selecting an option.
2. Time Allotment
1-mark Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) do not consume much time as compared to numerical type questions. Be accurate and quick with 1-answer MCQ, in order to save time and spend the remaining time on 2-mark questions.
3. Distinction between Questions based on Difficulty Level
- Easy questions would be from General Aptitude, Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Materials , and Strength of materials
- Difficult questions are possible from Thermal sciences, Manufacturing, and Engineering Mechanics.
Solve the Easy questions first. Bifurcate them according to difficulty level and attempt the easy ones first to save the time. Time management plays a vital role in achieving success
4. Revise Previous Year’s GATE Exam Questions

5. GATE Examination Guidelines
