Now let us throw some light on the strategy that you will have to follow to crack the HSSC Clerk Recruitment Exam. These points that will help you sail through the examination.

1. Stay Calm and Composed

We know and can very well understand the anxiety that you might be going through as the exam date is approaching. But being nervous and worried won’t help you rather it will make you even more stressed.

Try to maintain your calm at all times. You should try to feel relaxed and positive about the examination. This will help you to retain all that you have studied. Some students get pressurized because of the fear of exam and start to panic when they are nearing their exam. Such an attitude will make the matters worse as then you will get confused and will not be able to recollect what you have studied. So, always have a positive outlook. A saying goes by, “Sweet are the fruits of labor”. Always keep this in mind and keep going.

Also, try to adapt a healthy routine as a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Stay healthy, eat good and take good sleep. This will help you to study well and if you do that you are eventually going to score well.

2. Revision

This is another crucial factor on which your entire study period and your future score depends on. If you don’t revise, retaining so much of data that you have studied over the months becomes a tedious task.

  • Keep revising all the facts, figures and definitions, etc. Instead of trying to research new topics, revise what you already know. This will boost your confidence.
  • Read summaries from all the subjects. By doing this you will get a basic overview of the topics and what you know and what you don’t. They will always stay in the back of your mind.
  • Subjects like history and geography are theoretical, so you need to revise them regularly.
  • Make notes of whatever you revise.

You can give a quick look to them later on during the last few minutes. It will help you in retaining and recollecting all that you have studied over the course of time.

3. Practice Makes a Man Perfect

Practice as much as you can. Topics like reasoning need constant practice to master.

  • Also, practice the sections you are weak at. Try to convert your weakness into your strength.
  • Regular practice boosts your speed and helps you finish the exam in time as timing is also a very important factor as you get limited time to complete the test.

4. Solving Mock Tests

In the last few days of your exam,

  • Try to solve as many mock tests and previous year’s question papers. This will help you know the areas which are not well prepared or your strengths.
  • Solve them like you are taking your final paper, keep a track of time. By doing this you will eventually get an idea about your performance and efficiency.

5. Management of Time

Organize your schedule and increase your study hours as these are the final days for your preparation. Put in all your best efforts during this time as this is what will count.

  • Develop a time table and allocate separate timings for each subject.
  • Organize the topics of study priority-wise; important subjects first followed by the other subjects.
  • Practicing shortcut techniques also helps to reduce the time taken to solve some questions that can help you finish the test in time.

6. Smart Study

This is a very important aspect of the whole preparation. Hard-work is important but it only works if combined with smart work.

  • Study the topics that have maximum weightage. It will help you gain more marks in the exam.
  • Do not try to solve the paper sequentially or in one go. Try to attempt the topics that are easy and that are less time consuming. A major part of the paper will be completed in less time. This will give you time for the other tough sections and boost your overall confidence and performance.

Be motivated and have confidence in yourself. Don’t get distracted and focus on qualifying the exam. We wish you all the luck for the upcoming HSSC Clerk Recruitment Exam 2016.
