SBI Clerk Success Story: Shivani Negi
Given below is the interview with Shivani Negi conducted by the OnlineTyari Team
OnlineTyari: First of all, Congratulations on qualifying the SBI Clerk Examination. Can you shed some light on your educational background?
Shivani Negi: Thank you for your wishes. I am a graduate in B.Sc.Mathematics and I belong to Kullu (Valley of Gods), a small district in Himachal Pradesh.
OnlineTayri: How did you prepare for your SBI Clerk examination? Did you join any coaching institute or self-study?
Shivani Negi: I did join a coaching institute but did not get any benefits. Being from a small town I did not have access to a good coaching institute. Then I started looking for online portals. Online study has helped me more than a coaching institute. The difference I noticed was online study is handy and you have access to so many youtube channels where you can watch tutorials anytime. Also, I can clear doubts online. I believe self-study helps you more than a coaching institute
OnlineTyari: Many candidates found mains paper very peculiar and of high difficulty level. What was your Section-wise Strategy?
Shivani Negi: Yes, that’s true!! Government exams are not easy to crack. You need to have a preparation strategy before you appear for the final exam. My section wise strategy was:
English Language: I worked on my vocabulary and comprehension. Prefer Hindu for the English section.
Maths Section: Being a B.Sc Maths graduate I did not face any problem in the maths section.
Any Advice for the candidates who are weak in Quant section?
Yes, But many candidates consider the quant section as a nightmare. If you are appearing for the first time then you must start with practicing mock tests. You must attempt at least 5 to 7 mock tests on the daily basis. It will help you increase your score and accuracy.
Also, mock test analysis on OnlineTyari provides you with accurate analysis of your performance. You will know your weak areas and practicing mock tests on a regular basis will eradicate your weak points. Candidates can easily score in this section and can transform their weakness into strengths.[*Tips from us: Don’t forget to understand the solution given for all quant questions. In case you have a doubt or you have a different answer in your opinion do leave your reply in the review answer section. Our exam expert will revert back to you shortly on your comments/reviews]
Reasoning section: A candidate will find this section extremely difficult if he/she is a beginner. Refer some books. You should practice offline for reasoning. Focus more on syllogism and puzzles. Puzzles can be asked in any form. There is not any fixed section or syllabus of puzzles. Do not try to solve puzzles mentally. Note down the data first and then make separate diagram for it.
G.K: Read newspaper daily. Last 6 months currents affairs should be on your tips.
Special mention to OnlineTyari!! Daily news article, current affairs, G.K portion have helped me a lot. It is because of your app i was able to crack G.S Section
Refer OnlineTyari current affairs section.
OnlineTyari: What Benefits have you experienced from being an OnlineTyari user?
Shivani Negi: OnlineTyari mobile app helped me get access to the online mock test. The G.K portion has helped me the most in my preparation.
OnlineTyari: What would you say to other aspirants preparing for government exams? Any Golden Advice?
Shivani Negi: Study on regular basis. Be loyal to yourself. Study for yourself not to prove others. Make a proper study plan and attempts mock tests for each section to improve your score and accuracy. Practice does not make perfect. Only perfect practice makes perfect.
