IB ACIO Grade II Recruitment 2017: Total no. of Vacancies
Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (GradeII/Executive) i.e. ACIO-II (Exe) in IB (Ministry of Home Affairs), Government of India. There are 1430 total number of vacancies for this post. Let us see the breakdown:

IB ACIO Grade II Eligibility Criteria 2017
For the post of IB ACIO Grade II, there is a basic criterion in terms of age limit and educational qualification, which each and every candidate needs to fulfill. If a candidate fails in any of the categories, he/she cannot apply for IB ACIO Grade II Recruitment Exam 2017.
Age Limit: For IB ACIO Grade II, the candidate’s age should be between 18 to 27 years as on 2nd September 2017. The Age Relaxation is set accordingly for various categories.
- SC/ ST: 5 Years
- OBC: 3 Years
The age relaxation is applicable as per the government rules.
Educational Qualification: The candidates must possess a Graduation or equivalent degree in any stream from a recognized University. (Knowledge of computers is desirable).
IB ACIO Grade II Selection Process 2017
The recruitment process for IB ACIO Grade-II Exam involves written tests and interview followed by medical examination. On the basis of combined performance in Tier-I and Tier-II, the candidates would be short listed for the interview. Based on the combined performance in Tier-I, Tier-II, and interview, the candidates would be short listed for final selection subject to successful completion of their Character and Antecedent verification followed by medical examination.
Written Examination: It has both objective (Tier I) and descriptive pattern (Tier II). The medium can be selected from English and Hindi. The total marks in the written exam are 150 (Tier I: 100 marks & Tier II: 50 Marks).
After a candidate qualifies in both written papers, he/ she will be called for interview (100 Marks). Based on the combined performance in Tier-I, Tier-II, and interview, the candidates would be short listed for final selection subject to successful completion of their Character and Antecedent verification followed by medical examination. The recruitment process is then concluded.
