IB Personal Assistant Recruitment 2016: The Intelligence Bureau, working under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs, recently published a notification for the recruitment of 69 Personal Assistants. IB Personal Assistant Vacancies 2016

According to Ministry of Home Affairs, the Intelligence Bureau will be recruiting deserving candidates for the post of Personal Assistant. There are 69 open job vacancies for this post. The candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria in order to submit their application.

IB Personal Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2016

For the post of Personal Assistant, there is a basic criteria in terms of age limit and educational qualification, which each and every candidate needs to fulfil. If a candidate fails in any of the categories, he/she cannot apply for IB Personal Assistant Recruitment Exam 2016.

Age Limit: For IB Personal Assistant Exam, the candidates age should be between 18 to 27 years as on 20 February 2016. The Age Relaxation is set accordingly for various categories

 +5 years SC/ ST/ Widow/ Divorced Women/ Women judicially separated from their husbands
 +3 years OBC

The age relaxation is applicable as per government rules.

Educational Qualification: The candidates should possess 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized institute. Apart from this, proficiency in stenography is mandatory.


IB Personal Assistant Exam Selection Process 2016

The recruitment process for IB Personal Assistant Exam involves a written test and skill test followed by document verification.

Written Examination: It has both objective and descriptive pattern. The medium can be selected from English and Hindi. The total marks in the written exam is 150.

Stenography Skill Test: The assessment will be based on these tasks

  • Dictation Speed should be atleast 10 minutes@ 100 words per minute.
  • Shorthand Computer-Transcription of 40 minutes in English and 55 minutes in Hindi.

After a candidate qualifies in both written and skill test, he/ she will be called for document verification. The recruitment process is then concluded.

Remember, the last date for submitting application for IB Personal Assistant Post is 20 February 2016. Hence, go through this application procedure and submit your application as soon as possible.

Instructions to Apply Online:
1. Before applying online candidates should have valid email id and Contact No.
2. Candidates are neatly scanned the photograph, Signature & relevant documents at the time of apply online.
3. Log on to the website www.mha.nic.in.
4. Click on “Online Applications for the post of Personal Assistant IB”.
5. Click on “Proceed”.
6. Again Click on Proceed.
7. Fill all the mandatory details.
8. Take print out of application form for future use.

  1. Hello sir I ve qualified for the stenography test. Actually I m preparing for CIVILS hence I didn’t learn short hand typing. So there are only 18 days left for the stenography exam. Can I learn atleast a little bit of short hand to face the exam or its impossible to learn in 18 days? I have to prepare for CIVILS PRELIMS also. Plz suggest me regarding the short hand learning .

    • Shorthand is mandatory for the post of stenographer in any department. SO you can try institutes where you get training in few days but the training is mandatory…
