Q1. A brief introduction
A. I belong to Bahadurgarh, Haryana. I Completed my graduation in 2017 in computer science and engineering from Lovely professional university, Punjab. I have been preparing for government exams for last one year and now I got selected as a PO in Central Bank of India. I also appeared for SSC CGL, SBI PO 2017, SSC CPO 2017, IBPS RRB 2017 and got through the prelims examination.
Q2. What Made you choose this field of career?
A. I was from an engineering background, I have studied management, Economics. I also had knowledge regarding basic banking, monetary policy, so it was easy for me to prepare for bank exams. I was inspired by Arundhati Bhattacharya. She is the first woman to be the Chairman of State Bank of India. I read her success story and she was a big inspiration for me.
Q3. What was your Approach to the exam? What is your success Mantra?
A. Motivation is a ladder to success. If you are motivated in life you can cross miles. I was motivated with my own failures I faced in my past. I work hard to overcome those failures. Never let your failures regret you. Keep going forward and you will ace in your exam.
Q4. How did you manage your time during the exam? Which section should you attempt first?
A. I would suggest preparing for general awareness as a story. Try to fit in your mind. Prepare your own notes and make your own MCQs. The same approach is for Quant, increase your speed and practice mock tests online. Once you are able to maintain your speed you can crack any competitive exam
Q5. Online or offline study? What would you suggest??
A. I would suggest Online. Online studying is handy and easy to understand. You can watch online tutorials if you have difficulty in understanding any topic. There are thousands of PDFs Available online which can help you solve any problems instead of wasting time on any coaching institute. Watching tutorials will provide you with a detailed study and videos will have more effect on you other than offline studying.
Q6. How important is a mock test in cracking a competitive exam?
A. Mock tests are important in cracking in any competitive exam. It will help you increase your speed. Prepare yourself thoroughly and improve your technique of attempting such exams with the help of online mock tests and work your way up towards fulfilling your dream job in a Government Organisation.
Q7. Did you encounter any challenges while preparing for IBPS PO? How did you surmount them?
A. I Yes, everyone faces challenges in their journey to success. Failures are the pillars of success. In my graduation period, like every engineering student, I also faced backlog and then I decided to prepare for government exams. My only mantra was to know where I stand and which exam I am capable of cracking. The first thing I did was on the syllabus. Will I be able to crack it or not?? What are my strengths and weaknesses? then I made a schedule focusing on my weakness first. Then, like every aspirant, I joined a coaching institute. After joining it, I then was not satisfied. I thought It’s time to get advanced. Take a step forward into the world of technology. Online studying is handy and easy to understand. You can watch online tutorials if you have difficulty in understanding any topic
It is important to build a study plan. Create your To-do list, set the time limits and follow the schedule. Once you’ve understood how it all works, you won’t face any difficulty and it will be a great help in your exam preparation.
Q8. A piece of advice for fellow aspirants and dreamers that you would like to give?
A. I would like to tell my fellow aspirants to focus on smart studying. It is a myth that if you are studying 15 hours a day then only you can clear your exam. If you are giving 6 hours a day and you are completely focused, you can easily clear your exam. Just improve your weak areas and make your strong areas stronger.
