IBPS PO Prelims 2017 Exam Analysis: The second day of IBPS PO Prelims Exam 2017 received an overwhelming amount of candidates. The said exam lasted for 60 Minutes and the students are now coming out of their respective exam centers.

The Written Examination for recruiting Probationary Officer under IBPS Officer Post was held today. The paper consisted of 100 questions from 3 sections – English, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. The total time to solve the entire paper was 60 minutes.
The overall difficulty level of IBPS PO Preliminary Examination was Moderate.

• Level of Difficulty: Moderate
• Good Attempts: 22-23
• Optimal Time: 20 Minutes

Starting with Reasoning Ability for IBPS PO Preliminary Examination, the level of difficulty was quite moderate.

IBPS PO Prelims 2017 Exam Analysis: Quantitative Aptitude

• Level of Difficulty: Moderate (Calculative)
• Good Attempts: 17-18
• Optimal Time: 25 Minutes

The Quant Section of IBPS PO Prelims Examination was both challenging and full of calculations. A number of questions from miscellaneous could be solved only if you have had a good amount of practice. Similiar to the last shift, there were no questions of number series instead there were questions of the quadratic equation.

DI Questions were a bit calculative but a major score point for the ones equipped to answer those questions in time.

IBPS PO Prelims 2017 Exam Analysis: English Language

• Level of Difficulty: Difficult
• Good Attempts: 13-14
• Optimal Time: 15 Minutes

This year, IBPS PO Prelims 2017 posed a major threat to aspirants who relied heavily upon scoring well in English Section. First, most scoring topics like Cloze Test were nowhere to be found and Sentence Improvement & spotting error questions were challenging to solve.

IBPS PO Prelims 2017 Shift-wise Questions Trend

The pattern of the exam was changed in every shift. Below are the major changes:

• Changes in English Section: The most scoring topics like Cloze Test were nowhere to be found and Sentence Improvement & spotting error questions were based on a new pattern.
• Shift-wise changes in Maths Section: In the first & Second slot, 5 questions were asked from the Number Series topic but in the third & fourth slot, there were no questions of number series instead there were questions of the quadratic equation.
• Shift-wise changes in Reasoning Section: In the third shift, there were 5 Questions from a new topic Machine Input-Output, which was not present in any of the the shifts.
