The Indian Bank in collaboration with Manipal Global Education Services for Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance Degree (PGDBF) will be recruiting and training shortlisted candidates for the post of Probationary Officer. The Indian Bank is one of the most reputed Public Sector Banks i.e. PSB of the country. Indian Bank PO Eligibility Criteria 2016

There are a limited set of requirements to be eligible for the written examination for Indian Bank PO Recruitment. The major implications of eligibility criteria are directed towards Age Limit and Minimum Educational Qualification.

Age Limit: For the post of Indian Bank PO, the candidate must be above the age of 20 years and below the age of 28 years as on 1 July 2016 to be considered eligible for the recruitment examination.

Educational Qualification: The Minimum EQ for the post of Probationary Officer (Scale-I) in Indian Bank is a Graduation Degree in any discipline with atleast 60% marks (55% for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates).

Fresh Graduates are also eligible for this post provided they produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before July 1, 2016

 

Indian Bank PO Selection Procedure 2016

The process for shortlisting candidates for Indian Bank PO Post is quite similar to IBPS PO. There will be 3 stages – Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and Interview.

  1. IBPO Preliminary Examination
  2. IBPO Mains Examination
  3. Interview

All stages of IBPO Recruitment are linearly dependent i.e. you need to qualify in Prelims first to move to next round i.e. Mains Examination, followed by Interview of shortlisted candidates. The exam pattern for Pre and Mains Exam is as follows.

Indian Bank PO Exam Pattern 2016 (Prelims)

The IBPO Preliminary Examination will be conducted in objective MCQ pattern. There will be 100 questions in total and 3 sections – English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability.

  • The Examination will be an Online Computer-Based Test (CBT).
  • The Total Number of Questions will be 100.
  • The Paper mode will be English/ Hindi.
  • Each question carries 1 mark.
  • The total time to solve the entire paper is 60 minutes.

Marks secured in IBPO Prelims will be taken into consideration while selecting candidates for Mains.

Indian Bank PO Exam Pattern 2016 (Mains) 

The shortlisted candidates from Phase-I will be called for Mains Examination. It will be again an objective MCQ based exam, with 5 sections.

Some of the essential details related to Indian Bank PO Mains Exam Pattern are as follows:

  • The Examination will be an Online Computer-Based Test (CBT).
  • The Total Number of Questions will be 200.
  • The Paper mode will be English/ Hindi.
  • Each question carries 1 mark.
  • The total time to solve the entire paper is 120 minutes.

Marks secured in IBPO Mains will be taken into consideration while selecting candidates for Mains. The Final Round will be Interview.

Mandatory Training before Appointment (PG Diploma from Manipal)

Upon qualifying the interview round, the selected candidates will be enrolled in Manipal Global Education Services for Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance Degree (PGDBF). The PG Diploma Course is mandatory for all of the selected candidates. 

The duration of PG Diploma Program for Indian Bank PO Training will be 12 months and it will be carried in 2 phases.

  • Phase I: 9 Month Classroom Training at Manipal Global Education Services, Bangalore.
  • Phase II: 3 Month Internship at various Indian Bank branches.

Upon completion of the 12 month training period, the candidates will be awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance and an appointment letter to work as a Probationary Officer in Indian Bank. The initial salary for the post of PO (Scale-I) in Indian Bank is Rs. 32,000-35,000/- per month.

  3. In the new page, under Recruitment of Probationary Officers – Admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Banking & Finance through Manipal Global Education Services Pvt Ltd., click on ‘Link for Online Application’.
  4. The application window will open. Go to Click here for New Registration.
  5. A new window will appear on your screen. Fill your basic personal details.
  6. A provisional registration number and password will be generated and displayed on the screen.
  7. Note down this number and password and save it for future use.
  8. Upload your photograph and signature as per the specifications of IBPS.
  9. Verify all the details carefully and then Click on FINAL SUBMIT button.
  10. Enter all the important details carefully and submit your online application.
