Both are highly reputed jobs in India’s foremost Insurance Company. But the major difference usually arises in work environment and job pressure. Let us talk about it.

LIC AAO – Work Pressure & Environment

Since an LIC AAO is mostly assigned administrative work, he/she needs to complete the daily quota of paper work, which includes filing and double-checking documents related policies, claims, settlements, accounts, etc. Seldom an AAO gets assigned to activities like client and sales acquisition. The work environment is pretty mild and calm unless there is audit session in motion or coming up in a few weeks.

LIC ADO – Work Pressure & Environment

An LIC ADO has to move a space ahead of LIC AAO in terms of comfort level. Since LIC ADO Job Profile is basically sales and acquisition alongwith coordination with a team of LIC agents, a lot of management skills and thinking out of the box is involved. You have to perform a few administrative tasks too, but mostly you have to derive new tactical sales strategy for the team.

Remember, a large portion of an LIC ADO bonus depends on sales procurement. Hence, the pressure is always on. To clarify further, The Life Insurance Corporation of India is not a government organisation, but a large portion is owned by it. Hence, if an LIC ADO keeps on under-performing for a long period of time, he/ she can be let go. Hence, job security is on the lower end in case of LIC ADO.

From both cases presented above, we can clearly see that in terms of job comfort and ease of life, LIC AAO will be the preferred job profile.

LIC AAO vs LIC ADO – Career Growth and Promotion Comparison

The Insurance Sector is not highly proactive when it comes to regular job promotions. Yet this should not stop you from keeping your overall performance better than others. It takes as long as 8 years for getting the first promotion in LIC.

  2. AAO is a secured job and DO(Class II) is not. If you are not reach the targets you will be terminated . This will be applicable till 7 years of service . After that you will get atleast clerk job(class -III) when you are not to reach the targets as Development officer .
