MP Police Constable Examination: Exam Pattern and Syllabus

MP Police Constable Exam Pattern Syllabus: The Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) has published an official notification inviting interested applicants for the posts of GD Constable, Trade Constable, Head Constable and Assistant Sub Inspector. The total number of vacancies is 14283, which gives a lot of candidates an amazing opportunity to build a Career in Madhya Pradesh Police Department. So, this article will be focussed on discussing the syllabus and exam pattern of MP Police Written Examination.

But before we dig into that, let us understand the selection procedure for getting recruited in MP Police.


MP Police Constable Recruitment Procedure

The complete recruitment process consists of various levels of assessment of candidates both mentally and physically. MP Police Constable Recruitment Process will be completed in the following steps.

  1. Written Exam
  2. Physical Test (PET/PMT)
  3. Personality Test
  4. Medical Exam
  5. Document Verification

Depending on the post you apply for, you will be attempting Paper 1 and Paper 2. The Exam Date has been set for 17 July 2016 and the timings will be as follows.

  • Paper I – 9 AM to 11 PM
  • Paper II – 3 PM to 5 PM

The following post names correspond to the number of papers associated with MP Police Post.

So, candidates applying for the post of Constable have to appear in Paper 1 only. However, If a candidate has applied for the post of (Computer Head Constable (Computer)/ Assistant Sub-Inspector) then he/she have to appear in both the examination.


MP Police Constable Exam Pattern

As discussed above, there will be 2 Written Examinations. Both will be objective MCQ type papers with 100 questions in total and 2 hours each. 

Paper I: MP Police Constable Exam Pattern

There will be 3 sections in this paper and the total number of questions will be 100. Each question will carry 1 mark, making the total marks 100. There will be negative score for incorrect selection of answers.

The total time to solve Paper 1 is 2 hours or 120 minutes.


Paper II: MP Police Constable Exam Pattern

This paper will be attempted by candidates who have applied for the post of Head Constable and Assistant Sub-Inspector. This Computer-Based Test will consist of 100 questions and will consist basic questions related to Computer and Networking.
