NABARD Syllabus Exam Pattern for Grade A, B Officer

NABARD Syllabus Exam Pattern: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development has made a few changes in the selection and recruitment procedure this year. You may read about it in our previous article. In this article, we will discuss in detail about NABARD Syllabus and Exam Pattern for Grade A and Grade B Officers.

As we have initially discussed, there are 115 vacancies in total for the post of Assistant Manager and Manager.

The selection procedure for both posts varies so you need to pay attention to each detail mentioned in this article regarding the selection criteria.

 

NABARD Selection Procedure 2016 | Grade A, B

The NABARD Recruitment Examination will be held for recruiting Grade A and Grade B Officers. The Recruitment Process will be completed in 3 Phases, where first 2 will be written examinations and the final round will be an interview.

The NABARD Exam Pattern for the recruitment of Assistant Managers and Managers is as follows.

 

 NABARD Exam Pattern & Syllabus

The first paper, NABARD Prelims, will be qualifying in nature. Hence, marks secured in NABARD Prelims will not be considered in Final Merit List.

 

NABARD Examination Phase I (Prelims)

The preliminary exam is a common online test for both Grade A & B posts, that is to be held on May 15th as per revised dates. The Written Exam will consist of 2 parts.

Part I consists of questions from the following sections:

  • Test of Reasoning – 40 marks
  • English Language – 40 marks
  • Computer Knowledge – 20 marks
  • General Awareness – 20 marks
  • Quantitative Aptitude – 30 marks

Part II consists of questions from the following sections:

  • Economic & Social issues – 25 marks
  • Agriculture & Rural Development – 25 marks

The total marks allotted for Phase I is 200 marks & you are required to answer all questions within 2 hours (120 minutes).

 

NABARD Examination Phase II (Mains)

The main examination will test your English Skills & Knowledge about Agriculture & Economy. The most important point about NABARD Mains is 

  • Candidates will attempt 2 Papers if they apply for Assistant Manager (Grade A) Post
  • Candidates will attempt 3 Papers if they apply for Manager (Grade B) Post

 

Paper I – Descriptive English

Essay, Précis writing, Comprehension, Report/ Paragraph & Letter writing. Answers for these questions are to be typed on the computer only. This paper carries 100 marks and the time allotted will be 90 minutes.

Paper II – Economic & Social Issues and Agriculture & Rural Development

There will be multiple choice questions from Economics, Social Issues, Agriculture and Rural Development. This paper carries 100 marks and the time allotted will be 90 minutes.

Paper III (only for Manager)

Candidates who are applying for Manager (Grade B) position only are required to attend this paper. There is no paper III for Assistant Managers. The topics is Analytical Paper on Development Economics, Statistics, Finance and Management.It is an objective type paper with questions from the above mentioned topics. This paper carries 100 marks and the time allotted will be 90 minutes.

 

NABARD Examination Phase III (Interview)

The Final Stage will be an interview for the post of Assistant Manager and Manager. The marks allotted to the interview round are

  • Interview for Asst. Manager (Grade A Officer): 25 Marks
  • Interview for Manager (Grade B Officer): 40 Marks

The Final Merit List will be based on your performance in NABARD Mains and Interview.
