Navodaya Vidyalaya NVS Eligibility Criteria 2016
As per the rules and regulations of NVS, there is a certain fixed criteria in terms of age limit, qualification etc. to be deemed eligible for NVS recruitment exam. Age Limit
Age limit as a NVS eligibility criteria varies for different posts in case of Navodaya Vidyalaya Recruitment. Look at the table below to check the age limit for various posts of NVS recruitment 2016.

If an applicant doesn’t fall in the prescribed age limit, he/ she will not the eligible to submit the NVS Application Form 2016.
Educational Qualification
According to the norms of NVS, candidates must hold a degree from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks to apply for the posts. However, this NVS eligibility criteria varies from post to post. The qualification for different posts of NVS is as follows:
TGT
4 years integrated course from Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks or Bachelor’s Degree minimum 55% in relevant combination of Subjects and B.Ed. Candidate should have proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English and should have qualified CTET conducted by CBSE.
PGT
M.Sc/ PG from Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks or Master’s Degree and B.Ed with minimum 55% in relevant Subject. Candidate should have proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English.
Assistant Commissioner
Master’s Degree in Humanities/ Sciences/ Commerce from a recognized university. Candidate should be holding analogous post/ post of principal in the requisite pay grade or 05-year experience in the Educational Planning and Administration in any Govt. /Semi Govt. /Autonomous Organization.
Principal
Master’s Degree with minimum 55% and B.Ed from a recognised university. Candidate should be holding analogous post/ post of Vice- principal in the requisite pay grade or 12 year experience in as PGT/Master/Lecturer in any Govt. /Semi Govt. /Autonomous Organization.
Miscellaneous Teachers
Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Library science/ Physical Education. Candidate should have working knowledge of Hindi and other regional languages. For the post of ART/ Music teacher candidate should have Five years Recognized Diploma/PG in any discipline of Fine Arts as Drawing/Painting/Sculpture/Graphic Arts/Crafts after passing Secondary Examination.
TGT (III Language)
4 year integrated course from Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks or Bachelor’s Degree minimum 55% in relevant language Subject and B.Ed. Candidate should have proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English and should have qualified CTET conducted by CBSE.

Navodaya Vidyalaya NVS Selection Procedure 2016
The selection procedure for NVS recruitment 2016 will have 2 levels i.e written examination and interview. All aspiring candidates who are eligible will have to appear for the written examination first. Those who are able to clear the exam will then appear for the interview.
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in written examination and interview put together.
Written Examination
For the posts of Assistant Commissioner and Principal, the written exam will be of 180 marks. There will be a total of 180 questions carrying one mark each. total time to solve the paper is 3 hours.

For the posts of PGTs, TGTs, Miscellaneous Teachers and TGTs (III Language), the written exam will be of 200 marks. Total time to solve the paper is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

All those candidates who clear the written examination will move to the next round viz. Interview.
Interview
Based on the performance in written examination and also keeping in view the number of vacancies, the candidates will be called for interview. Taking into account the performance of both written examination and interview, merit list will be prepared.
However, posts of TGTs, Miscellaneous Teachers (Librarian) and TGTs (III Language), does not comprise the Interview round. Selection will be done purely on the basis of performance in written examination.
