RBI Assistant Recruitment 2016 New Exam Pattern (Revised)

RBI Assistant New Exam Pattern: The Reserve Bank of India has official released the recruitment notification for the post of Assistant in RBI. Since the Phase 1 of RBI Grade B Recruitment is over, most aspirants are turning towards the next best thing – RBI Assistant.

The most significant change in the selection procedure and exam pattern would be the introduction of 3-Tier Process. This makes the recruitment process more challenging, thereby, increasing the quality of shortlisted candidates at each level. RBI Assistant New Exam Pattern 2016

Under the revised scheme of selection, there will be a Prelims and Mains Written Examination, followed by an Interview. Candidates who qualify in preliminary examination will have to appear for mains examination. Consequently, the ones shortlisted post the mains examination, will appear for the interview round.

RBI Assistant Phase I: Prelims Examination

The pattern of the examination will be objective MCQ based. There will be 3 sections – English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. Each question carries 1 mark and the total marks will be 100.

The candidates will get 1 hour to solve the entire paper and the ones selected will advance to the next level.

RBI Assistant Phase II: Mains Examination

Similar to Prelims, the Mains Examination will also be Objective MCQ based. The major difference will be in the number of questions asked. There will be 5 sections in total with 200 questions. Each question will carry 1 mark.

The total time to solve the written examination is 2 hours and based on your performance in the Mains Examination, you will be called to the final round.

RBI Assistant Phase III: Interview

Shortlisted candidates will be called for the final round, which is, the interview round. The Final Merit List will be based on the performance of Mains and Interview.
