RBI Grade B Previous Year Exam Analysis 2015: The Reserve Bank of India has released the official notification for online application and recruitment of RBI Grade B Officers. Candidates can now apply for the post and appear for the written examination. The RBI Grade B Phase I Examination is an Objective MCQ based paper with 4 sections – Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language.

RBI Grade B English Language Exam Analysis 2015

  • Total Questions:  30
  • Level: Moderate to Tough

In the English Section, most questions are based on RC and Cloze Test. They were time consuming and a lot of candidates had a tough time solving them.

  • Reading Comprehension – 10 Questions (Lengthy)
  • Cloze Test  – 10 Questions (Moderate)
  • Parajumbles (7 statements)– 5 Questions (Moderate)
  • Spotting Error – 5 Questions  (Moderate)

RBI Grade B General Awareness Exam Analysis 2015

  • Total Questions:  80
  • Level: Moderate

There were questions on the current affairs & Banking Awareness topics. This section also included questions on  books & authors, currencies, Important Places, Awards, Headquarters, Prime Ministers Schemes, Important Days  etc. Overall questions from this section were of moderate difficulty level.

RBI Grade B Reasoning Ability Exam Analysis 2015

  • Total Questions:  60
  • Level: Tough

The Reasoning Ability Section of RBI Grade B Examination was filled with questions based on Puzzles, Arrangement and Syllogisms.

  • Syllogism – 5 Questions (Moderate)
  • Seating Arrangement (Circular) (Inward Outward) Relation based – 5 Qs.(Tough)
  • Linear Arrangement – 5 Questions (Moderate)
  • Puzzle – 10 Questions (Tough)
  • Input Output – 5 Questions (Tough)
  • Logical / Analytical Reasoning – 10 Questions (Tough)
  • Data Sufficiency – 5 Questions (Tough)

  • Rest were Miscellaneous Questions – 5 Questions

RBI Grade B Quantitative Aptitude Exam Analysis 2015

  • Total Questions:  30
  • Level: Tough

The Quantitative Aptitude Section had a majority number of questions based on Data Interpretation. Number Series Questions were also present.

  • Number Series – 5 Questions (Find the wrong number)
  • Data Interpretation – 15 Questions
  1. Missing DI – 5 Questions (Tough)
  2. Pie Chart – 5 Questions (Tough & Lengthy)
  3. Caselet DI – 5 Questions (Tough)
  • Rest were Miscellaneous – 10 Questions

Miscellaneous Questions consist of questions from different topics such as – Profit loss, Average, SI & CI, Ratio & Proportion, Time & Work, Time, Speed & Distance, Boats & Streams, etc.
