The overall difficulty of the SBI Clerk Prelims paper can be said easy, but for those who have been studying quite regularly. With this much easy paper, we can expect a bit of surge in the cut-offs.

1. Reasoning Ability

This section was moderate with 3 puzzles. No Syllogism Questions were asked. The topic-wise distribution is as follows. 

  • Inequalities – 5 questions (Easy)
  • Coding/Decoding –  3 questions (Easy)
  • Alphanumeric series – 5 questions (Easy)
  • Puzzles n Arrangements (circular and tabular) – 3 sets (15 questions) (Easy)
  • Miscellaneous (blood relation, direction sense, etc.) – 7 questions (Easy)

2. Quantitative Aptitude

Quantitative Aptitude Section consisted of a fair mixture of easy to moderate questions. Only 1 problem based on Data Interpretation was asked with 15 word problems. No quadratic equations questions asked. The topic-wise question distribution was as follows. 

  • Simplification – 10 questions (Easy)
  • Number series – 5 questions (Moderate) 2 Easy & 3 tough
  • Data Interpretation – 1 set (5 questions) (Easy)  (Table Graph)
  • Questions from other topics including Partnership, Time and Work, SI, Averages, Boat n Stream, Profit/Loss, Mixture n Alligation – 15 questions (easy to moderate)

3. English Language

The difficulty level of questions in English Language was Easy to Moderate as always. The questions were asked from the following topics.

  • Reading Comprehension (story based- Story on a King) – 1 passage (10 questions) (Easy)
  • Cloze test (story based- Duck.) – 5 questions(Easy)
  • Error spotting – 5 questions (Easy)
  • Spelling Correction – 5 questions (Easy)
  • Parajumbles (Story based – ) – 5 questions (Easy)
