SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis: 1st July 2018

THE OVERALL DIFFICULTY LEVEL OF SBI PO Prelims Exam (Shift-II) was Moderate. Let us dig a bit deeper and understand the construct of the paper section-wise.

SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis for English Language Section

  • Good Attempts: 17-19 Questions
  • Level of Difficulty: Easy to Moderate

Beginning our paper review with English Section, this section was quite easily solvable. The English Section in SBI PO Prelims Paper (Shift 2) questions distribution is as follows.

Cloze test questions were different from previous exam pattern, the blanks were already filled. Spotting error questions were the easiest to solve, followed by Cloze Test and then Reading Comprehension in terms of difficulty level escalating. Student finds the RC Section a bit lengthy. We expect most candidates to do well in this section.

SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis for Reasoning Ability Section

  • Good Attempts: 19-21 Questions
  • Level of Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult

Turning our attention towards Reasoning Ability, this section was a surprise for a lot of candidates. A lot of difficult puzzles were added this year in the mix and a number of candidates were not able to identify those.

The reasoning section was moderate. No syllogism questions were there.

SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis for Quantitative Aptitude Section

  • Good Attempts: 22-24 Questions
  • Level of Difficulty: Moderate 

A lot of candidates found the Maths section to be quite moderate to attempt. The level of difficulty of Quant Section in SBI PO Prelims (Slot 1) was slightly Moderate.

Questions based on Caselet DI, Bar Graph and Pie+Tabular DI. Apart from Miscellaneous Questions being a bit lengthy, most of the quant paper could be solved with ease.

From what we can analyze, a total of 60 to 62 attempts with optimal accuracy will be a good score for SBI PO Prelims 2018 (Day 1)
