The recruitment procedure for the post of Divisional Accountant in Comptroller and Auditor General of India involves SSC CGL Tier 1 and Tier 2 Examination, followed by document verification of the shortlisted candidates.
SSC CGL Tier 1: The SSC CGL Prelims will be an objective paper of 200 marks with 4 equal sections, which are, Reasoning, General Awareness, Numerical Aptitude and English Comprehension. You need to qualify in this exam in order to move to the next level.

The salary breakdown of a Divisional Accountant in Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) is as follows.

- Grade Pay: Rs. 4,200/-

Divisional Accountant CAG Work Environment
You will be serving a probation period of 2 years before you are confirmed as a Divisional Accountant. During this period, you would work in your preferred city for 6 months under some Divisional Accountant or Divisional Accounts Officer and understand your duties and responsibilities.
Once this period is over, you would undergo a formal training at the city of your state AG office for 10 months. After that, you would get a posting in some division, mostly in some low work pressured and less sensitive division. If you don’t clear this exam in the first attemt, you get more chances (up to 6) to clear the exam but you are not confirmed in the divisional accountant job untill you clear this exam.
