Educational Qualification
  • The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
  • Students in their final year of graduation are also eligible for application, provided they can produce the final certificate at the time of document verification.
Nationality/ Citizenship  The applicant must be:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962, intending to settle in India permanently, or
  • A person of Indian origin migrated from either/or Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Uganda, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Zambia, Malawi, and Zaire to permanently settle in India.

Tax Assistant CBEC Recruitment Process

Candidates applying for the post of Tax Assistant CBEC must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university. The recruitment procedure for the position of Tax Assistant CBEC involves SSC CGL Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier III Examination, followed by document verification of the shortlisted candidates.

SSC CGL Tier 1: The SSC CGL Prelims will be an objective paper of 200 marks with questions from four sections; General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Numerical Aptitude and English Comprehension. Candidates need to clear the SSC CGL Tier I exam to move to the next level.

SSC CGL Tier 2: Competition will get intense at this level. SSC CGL Tier-II is an objective paper of 400 marks with questions from two sections; Quantitative Abilities and English Language and Comprehension. SSC CGL Tier 3: Candidates clearing the mains exam are invited for a descriptive exam conducted in a pen and paper format. Candidates have to write either an essay/ application/ letter/ precis in Hindi or English. The maximum score in this section is 100.
