SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Analysis 2017, Expected Cutoff: 9 August
The Online Recruitment Paper consisted of the Objective type Questions.The Tier 1 Examination consisted of 100 Questions divided into 4 sections i.e Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness carrying 200 marks in total.

As explained above, there were 4 sections in SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier-I). The overall level of difficulty was Moderate, with the majority of questions asked being a bit of a task to solve. But, there were a few easy ones too. SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Analysis 2017: Quantitative Aptitude
The difficulty level of Quantitative Aptitude section was Moderate. Questions were asked mostly from the following topics :

The questions based on Arithmetic were easy to solve but the level of Geometry and Trigonometry based questions ranged from Moderate to Challenging. Candidates having a good arithmetic knowledge and practice can attempt 17-19 questions easily.
SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Analysis 2017: General Intelligence/ Reasoning Aptitude
Candidates who appeared for the exam describe the difficulty level of General Intelligence/ Reasoning Section to be in the range of easy to moderate level. Maximum questions were asked from the following sections.

Few Questions were from High-Level Reasoning as well as Statement Conclusion, Syllogism etc. Candidates having a good aptitude knowledge and practice can attempt 20-22 questions easily.
SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Analysis 2017: English Language
The difficulty level of this section was Moderate, just like Quant Section. Attempting 15-17 questions will be considered as a good attempt in SSC CGL Tier 1 Examination. A number of Vocabulary based questions were asked. Grammar also took a major portion of the paper. The topic wise distribution is as follows:
