why all are discussing about cutoff. tier 1 is just for qualifying nature. it means board will decide how much percentage should candidate get to qualify to tier 2. It means like gen 40% bc 35% sc/st 30% marks have to secure to qualify for tier 2 exam. even if the board give cutoff it will be around 80-90. becoz previous years there were only two tiers and the cutoff was around 100. but this time there are 4 tiers it means they will select more candidates for tier 2. even according to sources vacancies will raise upto 9000-13000 this will announce after tier 1. all the best friends
you just search in google like how many applied for ssc cgl 2016. you will get official news which was posted by ssc.

Is there some determinance of no. Of attempting. Which will be better either 85 attempt but only 55 correct or 60 attempt and 55 correct?
Definitely More guesses will lead one towards a probabilistic score. So one should rely on accurate attempts. Hence 60 attempts would be much better than 85 attempts with 30 Guesses.
