SSC CHSL Tier 1 Overall Exam Analysis:  The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) holds the responsibility to conduct Tier-I Examination for SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL). Over the past few days, SSC CHSL exam is being conducted in multiple shifts and a number of candidates submitted their queries online regarding how the paper was.

To cater to all the candidates’ needs, we have been updating the exam analysis and review daily. Instead of yesterday’s analysis, we will be formulating SSC CHSL Tier 1 Overall Exam Analysis from the dates 7th Jan to 31st Jan, to understand what all the paper is offering in terms of level of difficulty and variation of questions. Apart from compiling an overall paper review, we will also formulate safer attempts in SSC CHSL Phase I.


SSC CHSL Tier I Overall Exam Analysis

Giving a quick read to the exam pattern, there were 4 sections in SSC CHSL Tier I examination namely General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and English Language.

There was negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. The total time duration of the paper was 75 Minutes. Talking about the overall level of difficulty for the papers conducted in the entire schedule, it was relatively the same, being Moderate. Let us go deep into section wise analysis.

For the English Section, the graph was a little shifty between major topics but overall, the questions were either based on vocabulary or grammar.

  • In Vocabulary, there were questions from topics like Synonyms/ Antonyms, Idioms and Phrases and spellings correction.
  • In Grammar section, there were questions on Sentence Improvement, Spot the Error and Sentence Completion.
