SSC GD Constable Physical Standards 2018: The Staff Selection Commission has already published the official online recruitment notification for SSC Constable Delhi Police 2018. SSC will conduct the exam for the recruitment of constables in Delhi Police in the following stages
- Physical Standard Test
- Written Test
- Medical Test
This article is solely based on SSC GD Constable Physical Standards, Physical Endurance Test (PET) and Medical Standard Test (MST), which are basically the most essential sections of SSC Constable Recruitment 2018.
SSC GD Constable Selection Procedure 2018
This section has been covered in detail in our previous blog but we will mention it here as well. It begins with the Physical Standard Test (PST), which comprises of 3 steps
- Firstly, the fitness of a candidate is checked by the means of measuring the physical standards. If a candidate is able to clear the test, only then he/she is eligible for the Physical Endurance Test.
- After qualifying in this test, the candidates are supposed to appear for a Medical Test.
- After clearing the PST, the candidates can appear for the written test.
So, before applying for this exam, a candidate must have a clear understanding of the eligibility and necessary physical standards.
SSC GD Constable Physical Standards 2018
The Physical Standard is SSC Constable Recruitment for Delhi Police is basically a set of physical norms which is applicable to both Male and Female candidates.
In SSC Constable Physical Standards Test, a candidate is physically measured in terms of height and chest measurements. To clear this test, a candidate must have the minimum prescribed measurements as set up by the SSC.

SSC GD Constable Physical Endurance Test 2018
After the candidate qualifies for the Physical Standard Test, he/she has to appear for the PET. This test differs for both male and female candidates.
The candidates have to take part in certain physical activities like racing, long jump and high jump. Based on their performance in these activities, they are further selected for a medical test.
For Male Candidates

Some important points to remember for SSC GD Constable Physical Endurance Test are as follows.
- Those who qualify in the race event will be eligible to appear in the long jump and high jump events.
- Three chances will be given to qualify in long jump and high jump events.
SSC GD Constable Medical Standard Test 2018
This is the last and final step of the physical standards test. If a candidate is able to clear this, he/she can finally appear for the written exam. To clear this test, a candidate needs to keep the following things in mind,
- The minimum distant vision should be 6/12 of two eyes (without glasses) and shall be free from color blindness.
- Candidates who have undergone Lasik surgery for improvement of their vision will be eligible if their vision is found normal after the conduct of the following tests at the Govt. Hospital: 1. Contrast sensitivity. 2. Dim light vision 3. Glare acuity
- The candidate must not have knock knees, flat foot, varicose vein, loss or deformity of fingers & chest and joints, Hallux Valgus, Hallux Rigidus, squint in the eyes, bow legs and another deformity including loss of any part of the body.
- The candidates should be in a sound state of health for the efficient performance of the duties.
