Q1. Let us start with the basic question, Tell us something about your Background?
A. I have completed my BE in Civil in 2015 from Tripura Institute of Technology
Q2. What inspired you to prepare for Govt. exams and why specifically SSC JE? Also, please mention the post that you have been selected for?
A. As a student of civil Engg, it is always a dream to work in the field and SSC JE IS one of the highest exams of civil Engg especially to join CPWD (Central Public Works Department)
Q3 Self-study or Coaching? What to focus on?
A. Well, Self-study is one of the most important things to do in order to qualify for an examination. I believe self-study enhances your learning experience. Self-studying can be done through books, online tutorial, etc. But if you ask about my self-studying it would say books. I would like to mention a very good author who helped me prepare for my exam is AGOR and some JE handbooks. Last but not least, A special mention to OnlineTyari. OnlineTyari’s Daily News Digest, Daily News Articles helped me in brushing up my general knowledge skills. Practice tests in both Hindi and English also helped me to prepare for my exam efficiently.
Q4 For how long did you prepare for SSC JE & What was your overall study method?
A. Well, it was a 3 yrs hard journey, I couldn’t clear the examination in the first attempt. But didn’t lose hope. My second attempt was quite hard though, it was a terrifying experience when I got the news that due to a fraction of cutoff marks, I did not get through. but it says “Failure makes to more strong”. And it happened! I came out stronger and in the last attempt, I finally made it. It was a wonderful experience.
Q5 Preparation requires a lot of test practices, what were your test preparation methods which helped you in cracking SSC JE?
The more we practice, the less likely are we going to make mistakes, and the more likely we are going to increase our speed and again. Onlinetyari is very helpful and a concrete platform for anyone aspiring to get into the public sector.
Q7 What are your strategies to improve your performance after every test?
A. After every failure, I focus on my weak areas and revise them over and over till they get them on my tips.
Q8 What was our mindset during the SSC JE exam?
A. “See the Exam as a Challenge, not a Threat “. I was very sharp about my answers. I was focused and dd not take any pressure because extra pressure causes you anxiety. You’re under heaps of pressure. You need to relax and focused.
