The Examination Paper consisted of the Objective test. The Objective examination consisted of 200 Questions divided into 3 sections i.e. English, Reasoning and General Awareness is conducted for 200 marks. English section consisted of 100 Questions whereas rest sections consist of 50 Questions each. There was a 0.25 negative marking for every wrong attempt. The Level of paper was moderate.

1. SSC Stenographer Exam Analysis: Reasoning Ability
The Reasoning section was easy and one of the scoring section of the paper. Most of the Questions were on Analogy, Odd one Out, Series, Visual Reasoning & Mixed Questions. Candidates having good knowledge and practice can attempt 35–38 questions easily.
2. SSC Stenographer Exam Analysis: English Language
This section was moderate. Attempting 65-70 Questions will be considered as a good attempt. This section had majority of questions on Vocabulary & Grammar. In Vocabulary, questions were on Antonyms, Synonyms, Idioms, One word. In Grammar, questions of Spotting the Error, Sentence Correction and Fill in the Blanks. This is the most important and focused section as always.
3. SSC Stenographer Exam Analysis: General Awareness
This section was moderate. Attempting 25-30 Questions will be considered as a good attempt for a well-prepared candidate.

The cutoff marks for this year will depend on the following factors
- Number of vacancy: Number of Vacancies effects the cut-offs definitely. If there is a large vacancy, then the cut off will always be on the lower side.
- Level of Difficulty: Normalization of scores is done in order to bring scores of all the candidates appearing in any shift to a common platform. If the exam paper was set with tough questions, then the cut off would be on the lower side.
