The board is recruiting for the posts of UP SI, Platoon Commander, and Fire Service Second Officer Posts under UP Police Bharti 2021.

Female candidates are eligible to apply for the sub-inspector civil police recruitment, whereas male candidates are eligible for all the posts. Out of the 5623 vacancies for the sub-inspector civil police, 4498 are for Male Candidates and 1125 for female candidates.
UP Police SI Eligibility Criteria
Let us now understand the UP Police Si Eligibility Criteria. The UPPRPB releases the criteria in its official notification. Candidates must fulfil the below requirements to be eligible for the recruitment process.

- UP SI Age Limit
A candidate must be either:
- A citizen of India, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 01 January 1962 to permanently settle in India, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar (Burma), Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar) to settle in India permanently.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2) and (3) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
All the different posts mentioned under the UP Police SI Recruitment Exam require different levels of educational qualification. The mandatory and minimum qualification requirements are discussed below:
Sub-Inspector, Platoon Commander and PAC Posts
As per the norms established by the Government by India, a candidate must have at least 50 per cent marks in the Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or an equivalent degree recognised by the Government of India.
For Fireman Posts
A candidate must have at least 50 per cent in 10+2 from a recognised education board.

Note: The authorities process the application forms of candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria. Candidates in their final examination will also be considered for the respective UP Police Posts, provided they can produce the certificate at the time of verification.
If two candidates score equal marks, then they will be judged on a selective basis on the following grounds,
- Have accomplished ‘O’ grade acknowledgement certificate in DOEACC or NIELIT society.
- Have serviced in the Indian Army for a minimum period of two years.
- Have received ‘B’ certificate in NCC.
A candidate applying for this exam must not be less than 21 years and not more than 28 years of age. The UP police provided upper age relaxation to candidates belonging to scheduled reserved categories.

Age relaxation of five years is provided to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category. The upper age for UP Police SI SC/ST/OBC category candidates is 32 years.
UP Police SI Physical Standards
Candidates have to clear the UP SI Physical Eligibility to be considered for the merit listing. The UP SI physical eligibility for females differs from that of male candidates. We have categorised the details of standards in the below table.
