UP Police SI Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2021: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Board, popularly know as UPPRB, has released the official notification on 15 June 2021, inviting applications for 9,534 vacancies. The board is recruiting for the posts of UP SI, Platoon Commander, and Fire Service Second Officer Posts under UP Police Bharti 2021.

The exam is conducted every year to fill the positions, and lakhs of candidates compete for UP SI posts making it highly competitive. The online registration began on 01 April 2021, and the final date for the submission of online applications was 15 June 2021. UP Police SI Exam Pattern 2021

The UP Police SI exam pattern comprises three levels, i.e. Online written exam, physical standard test and physical efficiency test. The aspirants are selected based on their performance in all of these stages.

UP SI Written Exam 

The UP Police SI written exam is of objective type consisting of multiple-choice questions from four sections. Candidates need to clear the written exam to qualify for the next stage of the selection process. The UP Police SI exam pattern is as follows.

Important Note:

  • Each question carries 2.5 marks, and there is no negative marking for wrong answers.
  • The candidates will have to score at least 35% marks in each section and overall 50% marks to qualify for the next round.
  • The exam will consist of 400 marks.

Physical Standard Test (PST)

Candidates clearing the written exam have to undergo a Physical Standard Test, the standards of which are tabulated below.

Important Note:

  • Female Candidates should weigh 40 kgs at least.
  • Male Candidates should have a minimum of 5 cms of chest expansion.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates clearing the Physical Standard Test will be called out for the Physical Efficiency Test. Candidates have to run over a certain distance in a specific time to clear the exam.

Race –

  • Male – 4.8 Kilometres in 28 minutes.
  • Female – 2.4 Kilometres in 16 minutes.
