UPPSC Prelims Subject Wise Weightage: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, commonly known as UPPSC, is the prime body for conducting the Provincial Civil Service Exam (PCS) every year. UPPSC Prelims Exam Subject Wise Weightage
Let us first dig into the UPPSC Prelims Exam pattern 2021. The Preliminary examination will consist of two objective papers. Candidates have to fill in their answers on OMR sheets provided at the examination centre. The papers will carry 200 marks each, and the total duration to solve each exam is two hours. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission emphasises selecting candidates with the right aptitude, mental ability, and skills. UPPSC PCS Prelims Exam Pattern 2021
- The UPPSC Paper 1 is an objective exam with multiple-choice questions from various subjects. The total duration of the exam is two hours.
- The UPPSC Paper 2 (CSAT) is an objective exam with multiple-choice questions framed from general Hindi and English, Logical Reasoning, and Mental Ability.

- For every wrong answer, the UPPSC deducts 1/3rd of the marks assigned to the question.
- The Preliminary Examination Paper-II CSAT will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.
- The candidates must appear in both the papers of the preliminary examination in order to be evaluated. If a candidate does not appear in both papers, then the UPPSC disqualifies the candidature.
The merit of the candidates will be determined based on marks obtained in Paper-I of the Preliminary Examination. Candidates clearing the UPPSC Prelims are promoted to the next section of the recruitment process- UPPSC Mains.
