UPSC CDS II Admit Card 2016: The Union Public Service Commission has released UPSC CDS 2 Admit Card 2016 for the Combined Defence Services Examination on 23 October. The candidates who are set to appear for the CDS 2 Recruitment Examination need to download the call letter from the official UPSC website.

For the upcoming CDS 2 Recruitment Examination, you can simply download CDS II Admit Card 2016 by either entering your Registration No. or Roll Number.

After selecting either one of the options, you just need to enter your Date of Birth and confirm the Captcha Code and then click on Submit.

Candidates having any sort of discrepancies/ issues regarding UPSC CDS II Admit Card 2016 should immediately contact UPSC authorities.

The E-Admit Card must be carried along by every UPSC aspirant on the examination day in the examination centre as no candidate will be allowed to attempt UPSC CDS II Recruitment Examination with the call letter in person.


UPSC CDS II Exam Pattern 2016 

According to UPSC CDS II Selection Procedure, there will be two stages i.e written exam and interview. The Written examination consists of Objective MCQ based questions carrying 100 marks for each subject. For subject wise analysis of the CDS (II) examination, refer to the following table:

(A) For Admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy:

General Knowledge 2 Hours 100
Elementary Mathematics 2 Hours 100

(B) For Admission to Officers’ Training Academy:

Subject Duration Maximum Marks
English Language 2 Hours 100
General Knowledge 2 Hours 100

The question papers of General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics will be set bilingually i.e in Hindi as well as English. 

The maximum marks allotted to the written examination and to the interview will be equal for each course. This means, for admission to IMA, INA and AFA, the interview will carry 300 marks and for admission to officers’ training academy interview will carry 200 marks.

Candidates who successfully crack UPSC CDS II Written Examination will move to the next round for intelligence and personality test at the Service Selection Board (SSB) based on their preference, by the respective service headquarter.
