UPSSSC Stenographer 2016: Exam Pattern & Syllabus


UPSSSC Stenographer 2016: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission is going to conduct a written test for recruitment of Stenographers. As the exam date for UPSSSC Stenographer Written Examination has been set for 3 April 2016, it is advisable for all UPSSC Stenographer candidates to know the detailed exam syllabus and pattern of the examination. 

Candidates will be competing for a total vacancy of 808 UPSSSC Stenographer Posts. Hence, it is extremely important to score well in the written exam conducted by Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission. 

UPSSSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2016

The Selection Procedure set for UPSSSC Stenographer involves a written examination as well as typing test. There will be an interview after the written exam and skill test. Typist/ Stenography Test will be only qualifying in nature.

  • The pattern of the written examination will be objective MCQ based.
  • Time duration for written test will be 60 minutes.
  • There is no negative marking.

The Skill Test/ Typing Test will be conducted after the written examination.


UPSSSC Stenographer Syllabus 2016

The Exam Syllabus for all the sections of UPSSSC Stenographer Exam is as follows.

Hindi Insight & Writing Ability: The questions will be asked from the candidates to test their knowledge of Hindi Language and comprehension and writing ability.

General Intelligence Test: The questions will be asked from analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning.

General Knowledge: Questions will be asked from Indian History, Indian Polity, Current Events, Geography, Economy etc. Focus will be on Current national & International events, banking, sports etc.
