“Hunar Haat” to be restarted from September 2020

“Hunar Haat” which was put on halt due to the Coronavirus pandemic will be restarted from September 2020 with the theme of “Local to Global” after a gap of 5 months.

Key Points:

  • “Hunar Haat” has become synonymous with “Empowerment Exchange” of artisans and craftsmen throughout the country and will be restarted with a comparatively higher number of participation by artisans.
  • In the past five years, “Hunar Haat”, has provided employment opportunities to over 5 lakh Indian artisans, culinary experts, craftsmen, and other people associated with them.
  • “Hunar Haat” also provides an opportunity and market to master artisans and craftsmen from remote corners of the country and has become a trusted brand of rare elegant indigenous handmade products.
  • Hunar Haat is a platform for showcasing art and craft and also provides opportunities to people to fulfil their dreams.
  • A special “Jaan Bhi, Jahaan Bhi” pavilion will be there at the Hunar Haat with the theme of “Say no to panic, yes to precautions” which will help in creating health awareness among the people.
  • Over two dozen “Hunar Haat” has been organized by the Ministry of Minority Affairs throughout the country where lakhs of artisans, craftsmen have received employment.
