26TH CISO DEEP DIVE TRAINING PROGRAM

Context:

On January 17, 2022, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology organised the 26th CISO Deep Dive Training program. It is being organised under the Cyber Surakshit Bharat initiative.

Key Points:

• The training aims to better equip participants to understand cyber threats' emerging nature and the advanced cyber security processes.
• The program, which started on 17 January 2022, will run until January 22.
• It will cover topics such as:
• Governance Risk and Compliance and Data Privacy,
• Network Security,
• Mobile Security,
• Endpoint Security,
• Application Security and Data Security,
• Cloud Security,
• Cryptography,
• Cyber ​​Security-related provisions in the IT Act.

Background:

• In January 2018, to empower CISOs with emerging online security challenges and trained to deal with these challenges, MeitY had launched the Cyber ​​Surakshit Program with active support for the industrial consortium.
• The aim of the program is to train 1200 CISOs and leading IT officials from Central and State Government, PSUs, Banks and government organizations.
• From June 2018 to December 2021, 25 training teams have been formed and approximately 1018 CISOs and other leading IT officials from Central and State Government, PSUs, Banks and government agencies have been trained.
