Andhra Pradesh launches APCOS website

The official website of Andhra Pradesh Corporation for Outsourced Services (APCOS) was launched by the state government of Andhra Pradesh in Amaravati on 30 June 2020.

Key Points:

  • Under the scheme, the state will offer a reservation of 50 percent to Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), Backward Communities (BCs) and Minorities in the outsourcing jobs.
  • The government has reserved 50 percent of outsourcing jobs for women at the district level.
  • The platform will bring transparency in payment and recruitments and will leave no room for interference by intermediaries, thus reducing corruption.
  • The government will make all appointments through the APCOS website putting a check on irregularities and will help in implementing the reservation policies of the government with respect to the SCs, STs, BCs, women and minorities.
  • The Andhra Pradesh Corporation for Outsourced Services will take care of the placement of the workforce from the district level to the level of Secretariat.
  • The government will credit the salaries in the bank account with the acquisition of the vacancies list by 15 December 2020 and order of placements will be started from 1 January 2021.
  • The government will make the data available on the website and withdrawal of salaries by the officials will be only after all the contract and outsourced employees are paid.
