AP SEVA  PORTAL 2.0

Context:

On 28 January 2022, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the AP Seva Portal 2.0. 

About the Portal:

• The portal will provide better services to citizens. 
• It is also called the Citizen Service portal.
• The portal will offer digital services to citizens in a transparent manner. 
• It will help the community follow up on their request without any hassle. 
• App updates are provided via SMS as well.

Services of the Portal:

• It offers 30 services, including:
• six benefits of civil supplies 
• 25 benefits of municipal administration
• 30 services of revenue and land administration
• three services of rural development
• 53 services of energy departments

Seva Portal 2.0:

• It allows online authorization for applications. 
• Also, the site will enable officials to issue certificates and documents online. 
• The site allows the use of digital signatures.
• About 90% of government services are provided under the portfolio.
• Gateways that have to access paid services are included.

Significance of the Portal:

• The portal will help people to access government services easily. 
• They can get services sitting in their homes and do not have to run from one side to the other. 

Also, the site will help secretaries learn about application progress.
