Pench Tiger Reserve (PTR):

• The Pench Tiger Reserve is one of India's first tiger reserves to cross two states, namely Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
• It includes the Indira Priyadarshini Pench National Park, the Pench Mowgli Sanctuary and a buffer.
• Pench refers mainly to the leopard shelter in Madhya Pradesh.
• Part of the park in Madhya Pradesh is located on the southern slopes of the Satpura range in Central India.
• The Reserve derives its name from the Pench River, which flows north and south, 74 kilometres across the reserve.
