India Meteorological Department (IMD) announced the formation of Cyclone Burevi over southwest Bay of Bengal. The cyclonic storm has been named ‘Burevi’ and the name is contributed by the Maldives.
Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) launched India’s first 100 Octane petrol. XP100 premium petrol will initially be available at select outlet of IOC in 10 cities -- Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Agra, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad.
The Commission for Agricultural Costs & Prices (CACP) in the Ministry of Agriculture would recommend MSPs for 23 crops. These included 14 grown during the Kharif/post-monsoon season and six in rabi/winter (wheat, barley, chana, Masur, mustard and safflower), apart from sugarcane, jute and copra.

Union Minister for Tribal Affairs launched the virtual edition of Aadi Mahotsav- Madhya Pradesh. Aadi Mahotsav is a national tribal festival and a joint initiative of Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India & Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED). World Malaria Report (WMR) 2020 released by the World Health Organization. India is the only high endemic country which has reported a decline of 17.6% in 2019 as compared to 2018.

Government has constituted a High-level Ministerial Committee for implementation of Paris Agreement. The Apex Committee for Implementation of Paris Agreement (AIPA) will be chaired by Environment Secretary.
It has been constituted with the purpose of “ensuring a coordinated response on climate change matters that protects the country’s interests and ensures that India is on track towards meeting its climate change obligations under the Paris Agreement including its submitted Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs)”.
