The Reserve Bank of India launched the MANI application for visually challenged persons

The Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das on 1st January 2020 launched a mobile app-MANI' (Mobile Aided Note Identifier). This will help visually-impaired people to identify the denomination of currency notes. 

ECI launches Political Parties Registration Tracking Management System

The Election Commission (ECI) has launched an online system which allows political parties track their applications for registration with the poll panel on a real-time basis. The salient features of PPRTMS is that applicants who are applying for the party registration from 1st January 2020, will be able to track the progress of his/her application.

WII to conduct Asiatic Lion Census

Report of task force on National Infrastructure on Pipeline 2019-2025

To achieve the GDP of $5 trillion by 2024-25, India needs to spend about $1.4 trillion i.e., Rs. 100 lakh crore over these years on infrastructure. In the past decade i.e., FY 2008-17  India has invested about $1.1 trillion on infrastructure. The challenge is to step-up an annual infrastructure investment so that lack of infrastructure does not become a binding constraint on the growth of the Indian economy. The Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman made a brief statement on the contents of the National Infrastructure Pipeline at a Press Conference on 31st December 2019. She indicated that Government will examine the recommendations of the Task Force and take action early.
