ATAL INNOVATION MISSION AND SCOONEWS PARTNER TO SPREAD AWARENESS OF GRASSROOTS INNOVATIONS

Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, is collaborating with ScooNews which is one of the largest education media houses in India. With this collaboration, greater awareness about various initiatives of AIM and Atal Tinkering Labs will be generated among the education sector stakeholders. ScooNews will support various events or competitions initiated by AIM through its network.

INDIA SUCCESSFULLY FLIGHT TESTS INDIGENOUS HYPERSONIC TECHNOLOGY DEMONSTRATOR VEHICLE

India successfully flight tested Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle (HSTDV). It is an unmanned scramjet demonstration aircraft for hypersonic speed flight. It is being developed as a carrier vehicle for hypersonic and long-range cruise missiles. It is capable of cruising at a speed of mach 6 and it can move up to an altitude of 32.5 km (20 miles) in 20 seconds. 

INDO-PACIFIC BUSINESS FORUM TO BE HELD IN HANOI

The third annual Indo-Pacific Business Forum to be held in Vietnam's capital Hanoi in  October. It will be sponsored by the United States government, in association with the Government of Vietnam, the US Chamber of Commerce, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the US-ASEAN Business Council.

FIRST FOREIGN INVESTMENT IN JAMMU AND KASHMIR

The first-ever cannabis medicine project to be set up in Jammu with Canadian collaboration. It is  the first major foreign investment in Jammu and Kashmir after it became a Union Territory (UT). It will be set up with the collaboration of Canada at Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) in Jammu & Kashmir.

KAZIRANGA PARK SET TO BE EXPANDED BY 3,053 HECTARES

The Assam Government has issued a notification approving the seventh, eighth, and ninth additions to the Kaziranga National Park, which will have 176 hectares, 307 hectares, and 2,570 hectares respectively. The seventh and eighth additions will connect the Kaziranga park with Karbi Anglong hills while the ninth addition will stretch to the Nameri National Park in Sonitpur district.

STATE OF YOUNG CHILD IN INDIA REPORT RELEASED

State of the Young Child in India was released by Mobile Creches, which is a non-governmental organisation (NGO).

EXPLAINED INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CLEAN AIR FOR BLUE SKIES

On 19th December, 2019, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution to hold an International Day of Clean Air for blue skies on 7th September, every year. It aims to raise public awareness at all levels about the importance of clear air on health, productivity, the economy and the environment.

KHADI AGARBATTI AATMANIRBHAR MISSION

Khadi Agarbatti Aatmanirbhar Mission was launched. Under this scheme, Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) will provide Automatic Agarbatti making machines and powder mixing machines to the artisans which are locally made machines through PPP mode.
