INSPIRATION4 TO BE LAUNCHED

Elon Musk’s SpaceX recently announced that ‘Inspiration4’, its first all-civilian, non-governmental spaceflight, is on track for launch on September 15. It involves circling the Earth for 3 days and then splashing down into the Atlantic Ocean.

SWACHH SURVEKSHAN GRAMEEN, 2021

On 9 September 2021, The Swachh Survekshan Grameen, 2021 will be launched under the Swachh Bharat Mission Phase 2 As part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', the Swachh Survekshan Grameen aims to support ODF plus interventions and results in the country. Approximately 1,74,750 Families will be asked questions about their responses to SBM related issues.

13TH BRICS SUMMIT TO BE CHAIRED BY PM MODI

EL SALVADOR - FIRST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD TO ADOPT BITCOIN AS LEGAL TENDER

On 6th Sep 2021, El Salvador, the tiny and impoverished Central American nation became the 1st country in the world to adopt bitcoin as legal tender, allowing Salvadorans to use the cryptocurrency to buy a cup of coffee, get a haircut or even pay taxes and home loans.

Vidyanjali Portal is launched to help the community or volunteers participate by contacting the government and directly assisting government schools. It was launched to assist educational volunteers, donors or CSR contributors for school development.

PIYUSH GOYAL - INDIA’S SHERPA FOR G20

Piyush Goyal, Commerce and Industry Minister has been appointed as India’s Sherpa for the G20. He has replaced Suresh Prabhu with India’s G20 Sherpa.

India will hold the G20 presidency from December 1, 2022, and will call the G20 leaders’ summit in 2023 for the 1st time.

DEITY IS THE OWNER OF LAND ATTACHED TO TEMPLE: SUPREME COURT

According to the supreme court bench consisting of Judge Hemant Gupta and A S Bopanna, the Deity is the owner of land attached to a temple. According to the bench, the priest cannot be considered as Bhumiswami (landowner). The priest is in charge of the land by the administration of the temple property only.

37% OF SHARKS AND RAYS THREATENED WITH EXTINCTION: IUCN

According to a new red list compiled by the IUCN, sharks and rays have been seeing a decline in their population since 2014 and are now threatened with extinction. About 37% of sharks and rays across the world are considered endangered as of 2021. In 2014, this amounted to 33%.
