TCS Market Cap: With $120.5 billion m-cap, TCS valued more than IBM

Indian IT company Tata Consultancy Service (TCS) overtook IBM, which is one of the biggest global technology majors in terms of market capitalization. While on 10 June, TCS share was $120.5 billion i.e. 8.37 lakh crore in IBM share was $119.6 billion i.e. 8.32 lakh crore New York stock exchange.

India cricket team captain Virat Kohli has once again become the sole Indian in the Forbes 2019 list of world's highest-paid athletes, announced on June 11. Virat Kohli is ranked last on the list of top 100 athletes which is headed by Barcelona and Argentina football superstar Lionel Messi.

Emissions rose an 'unsustainable' 2% in 2018: study

Global carbon emissions grew by 2.0 percent last year, the highest rate since 2010-2011, a closely-watched review by energy giant BP said 11 June calling the trend "unsustainable".

The BP Statistical Review of World Energy is viewed as an energy industry standard, pooling data on everything from the size of countries' oil reserves to their production of renewable energy and various consumption rates.

Chandrayaan-2 to be launched on July 15

India's second mission to the moon, Chandrayaan-2, is scheduled to lift off at 2:51 am on July 15 from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. Space agency ISRO is giving final touches to the 3.8 ton satellite that has cost the country more than Rs. 600 crore.
