Bali Yatra festival

Bali Yatra festival is being celebrated in Cuttack, Odisha. The festival is organised every year in the memory of the rich maritime history of the state. The festival is being organised at the bank of Mahanadi River every year.

Avneet Sidhu was honoured with Guru Nanak Dev Ji Achievers Award

A City-based former international shooter Avneet Sidhu, who is a DSP with the Punjab Police, was honoured with Guru Nanak Dev Ji Achievers Award during a state-level function at Sultanpur Lodhi. Avneet was awarded for her contribution to the field of sports.

West Bengal (WB) celebrated the ‘Rosogolla Dibas’ or Rasgulla Day on 14th November 2019. This day is to mark the granting of Geographical Indication tag of ‘Banglar Rosogolla’ or Bengal’s Rasgulla to the state on 14th November two years ago, i.e.,14 November 2017.

UNICEF Report: India Second largest in Pneumonia deaths

According to a new report by the UN, India had the second-highest number of deaths of children under the age of five in 2018 due to pneumonia, a curable and preventable disease that claimed the life of one child every 39 seconds globally. Globally more than 800,000 children died due to Pneumonia under the age of 5.
