Mayank Vaid becomes first Indian to complete Enduroman triathlon

Mayank Vaid has become the first Indian to complete the Enduroman. Enduroman is a triathlon from England to France which is considered to be one of the toughest endurance competitions in the world.

He is the 44th person in the world to have completed this triathlon. He is also the first Asian person to complete this triathlon in solo capacity.

Pankaj Advani claims 22nd title

Pankaj Advani won the 22nd title by winning the fourth final within the 150 at the IBSF World Billiards Championship on 14th Sept 2019 in Mandalay of Myanmar. India's Pankaj Advani defeated England's Mike Russell in 5-2 to enter the final of the IBSF World Billiards Championship.

Kapil Dev to be the first chancellor of Rai Sports University

The Haryana Government has appointed cricket legend Kapil Dev as the first Chancellor of Rai Sports University. The Sports University of Haryana in Sonepat is conducting the educational and coaching programs in education and sports sciences and as well as in sports technology and medicine.

UNESCO to publish an anthology of Guru Nanak Devs writing in world languages

United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has decided to translate and publish an anthology of the writings of Guru Nanak Dev in world languages to mark his 550th birth anniversary.

NASA probe to fly over Vikram lander

NASA’s lunar probe will be flying over the crash-landing site on September 17 while ISRO has been trying to establish contact with the Vikram lander since September 7. The US space agency’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) is supposed to send back images that it captures of the lander.

Survey of India to map India with 300 drones

The Survey of India (SoI), historically tasked with mapping the country, will for the first time rely on drones to map the country. The objective is to map 75% of India’s geography, about 2.4 million sq km of the 3.2 million sq km, within the next two years.
